For Skin Therapists who know there's more to skin than skincare
Â
Built to teach you what your training skipped - the gut, the hormones, the internal connections that drive every skin condition you see - and gives you the science, the language, and the confidence to lead your clients to their skin goals.Â
You know skin - but do you know the connection between nutrition, lifestyle and skin health?
Â
Skincare has never been more advanced. And yet the clients walking through your door have never been more complex.
The acne that clears, then comes back. The rosacea that calms with treatment, then flares for no reason you can name. The client who’s tried everything — the prescriptions, the products, the elimination diets — and is still sitting in your chair, still not better.
You’re good at what you do. That’s not in question. But somewhere along the way you started to sense that the answer to these skins isn’t another serum or another treatment. It’s in a layer you weren’t trained to see.
And when a client asks you directly — “do you think it could be my hormones?”, “could it be something I’m eating?” — you find yourself giving an answer that’s smaller than the one she needs. You deflect. You refer vaguely. You move on. But her question stays with you.
Because this is why you got into skin. You wanted to genuinely help people — not manage their symptoms, not blame every flare on hormones and hope for the best. But somewhere along the way you’ve started to realise there’s a whole dimension of skin health you were never taught. And that gap sits between you and the results your clients actually need.
You can know that diet, stress and gut health affect the skin. Most of your clients do too — they’ve done the research, they’ve read the articles, they’re already asking the questions. But knowing that these things matter and being able to explain exactly why — and knowing what to do next for that specific client — are two completely different things.
Your clients are ready for answers. And so are you.
SBS starts where your skin barrier training stopped
Â
If you’ve done advanced skin health training - barrier health, corneotherapeutic approaches, the deeper end of skin courses - you’re already ahead of most. You think differently about skin. You know there’s more to what you’re seeing than what you can treat topically. You can feel it in the cases that don’t fully resolve.
But here’s what even the best skin training doesn’t cover - what’s disrupting the barrier from the inside. The blood sugar swings. The gut–skin signalling. The stress response. The hormonal shifts. The nutrient gaps. Not because your training was poor. Because skin education - even at its most advanced - was built before the science caught up. The gut-brain-skin connection, the microbiome, the internal drivers of inflammatory skin conditions - this is relatively new territory. And it hasn’t made it into most curriculums yet.
That’s not a reflection of where you are as a practitioner. It’s a reflection of where the industry is.
SBS is the missing layer. Built specifically for skin therapists to understand what’s driving their clients’ skin from the inside, and have the confidence to lead that conversation within their scope.
This is not about becoming a nutritionist. It’s about becoming the therapist who can hold the whole conversation - surface to root cause - and know exactly where your scope ends and how to refer.
Â
SBS is for you if:
- You're a qualified skin therapist who knows something internal is driving your clients' skin — but you don't have the science or the language to go there yet
- You want to offer something more meaningful than product recommendations — and charge accordinglyÂ
- You've found corneotherapy or barrier health and realised there's still a missing layer — what's disrupting the barrier from the inside
- You're newer to skin and want to build your knowledge on the right foundations from the start
- Your client base is shifting — more perimenopause, more hormonal presentations, more complexity — and you want to meet them there with confidence.
- You love your skincare gadgets but find yourself drawn back to the power of touch and talk
- You work alone and want a community of practitioners doing the same work around you
INTRODUCING...
The Skin Barrier Solution:
A self-paced CPD education course for qualified skin therapists who want to understand what's really driving their clients' skin - and finally have the language to do something with that knowledge.
Not a treatment training. Not a bigger menu of services. Not a machine you'll be paying off for the next ten years. A new lens.
At the heart of SBS is The True Skin Method - the clinical framework I developed eight years ago and have used with every client since. Built around four pillars: Body, Mind, Heart and Environment. It gives you the knowledge and the strategy to support even the most complex clients - to know what you can do, what sits outside your scope, and how to handle both with complete confidence. You'll learn it properly inside SBS.
And once you start seeing clients through this lens, you won't just practise differently. You'll show up differently. As the practitioner who finally owns her skin specialist status - completely.
A three-phase journey from facialist to whole-skin practitionerÂ
Phase 1: The Bigger Picture
Think of this as going back to the classroom — but for the science you actually needed all along. This is where you build your internal map of skin health. You'll learn how the body systems your clients are living in every day — the gut, the stress response, the hormonal cycle, the immune system — connect directly to what you're seeing on their skin. For the first time, the dots start joining. The why behind the conditions you treat every day finally has a mechanism.
Phase 2:Â Find The Plotline
This is where the science becomes a clinical skill. You'll learn to look at a real client differently — not just at what's presenting on the skin, but at the whole picture she's bringing with her. The missed periods she mentioned in passing. The PMS. The afternoon energy crash. The bloating after meals. These aren't separate concerns — they're part of the same story. Phase 2 teaches you to read it. To ask better questions, spot the connections, and identify which pillar needs the most attention first.
Phase 3: Carve A New Path
Phase 3 is where it all comes together — for you and your client. You've learned the science. You can read their skin story. Now you learn how to bring your client into it. How to educate in a way that lands, that doesn't overwhelm, that gives them the understanding and the agency to actually make change. With your new clinical lens and expanded toolkit you'll have the confidence to hold that conversation with every client who walks through your door. This is where empowerment begins — for both of you.
👋 Hey, I’m Chloe!
Â
I'm a registered nutritional therapist with fifteen years of experience, and for the last eight years skin has been my whole focus — acne, rosacea and perioral dermatitis.
I didn't come to this work from a textbook. I came to it from my own skin. Acne through my teens and twenties. Perioral dermatitis after my daughter was born along with tell tale signs of rosacea. I’ve sat in dermatology offices being told there was nothing left to try but medication I didn't want to take — and that nobody could tell me why any of it was happening.
I did eventually find a skin therapist who told me my diet wasn't helping. But she couldn't explain why — or what to do instead. Just a list of foods to remove, which I found impossible to stick to and left me feeling more lost than before.
So I went and found out for myself. And when I started working with skin, I realised the clients in front of me had been on exactly the same loop I had — and the brilliant, skilled therapists they'd been seeing had never been given the internal piece either.
That's why I built SBS. It's the education I wish someone had handed me — and handed the therapists who were trying so hard to help me.
Your journey from classroom to client:
 Â
The Core Course: 7 hours of self-paced video · Short, digestible lessons · Lifetime access
Whether you're a seasoned pro or just beginning to get to know the skin barrier, SBSmeets you where you are. From the gut-brain-skin axis to hormones, the microbiome, nutrition, stress and sleep — the science is comprehensive, but taught in a way that makes sense the first time you hear it. Every lesson is designed to be layered — you'll build your knowledge gradually, and with lifetime access you can return to it as many times as you need.
Want a full breakdown of what's covered? Drop me a DM and I'll send it across.
Your Expanded Toolkit: Scripts · Handouts · Assessment tools · Checklists
Every clinical tool inside SBS has been built and refined over a decade of working with skin clients — the things that have actually moved the needle, shared without gatekeeping. If it helped one of my clients, I know it can help yours too. You'll learn not just what to use, but how and when to use it — so the knowledge feels safe and confident to use from day one.
The Skin Nutrition Community: 3 months included · 2 live calls a month · Growing resource library with Expert Guests
Learning alone is hard. Self-employment can feel isolating. And complex skin brings complex clients. The community is where all three of those things change.
Post your questions Monday to Friday, get answers within 48 hours, and join two live calls a month — one deep dive, one open hot-seat where you can bring anything from a complex client case to a question about scope. I also bring in expert guests — from specialist practitioners to business and marketing experts — so the learning goes beyond skin science and into every aspect of running a successful skin practice.
With over 25 hours of recorded content and growing — covering acne, eczema, rosacea, perimenopause, hormones and skin, functional testing, supplements, the microbiome, longevity and more — the library is a CPD resource that evolves as the research does. For practitioners who want to stay genuinely up to date, this is where you do it.
Working Toward CPD CertificationÂ
SBS is currently working toward CPD certification — being mapped directly to what the certification bodies require. Meaningful, industry-recognised, and on its way.
One more thing I have to share with you..
Â
You've been doing this long enough that part of you thinks you should already know this. And another part of you wonders — what if I do the course, and I still freeze when a client asks me about her hormones?
Here's what I know from studying nutrition for over 16 years (and a self-confessed CPD junkie). You will never know it all. SBS isn't about teaching you everything. It's about giving you a framework to understand skin health — and to guide your clients through it. It's about knowing the right questions to ask. Knowing what you can take on and what needs specialist support. That's what SBS gives you — and that's enough to change everything.
You already have the skill set. SBS is about honing your craft.Â
